The cup is bright ruby-red with a woody, forest-like aroma and a flowery, flavoursome finish that lingers pleasantly. For tea lovers who want high-grown Ceylon character in a lively, aromatic cup without fuss.

Where It's Grown

On the sun-drenched eastern slopes of Sri Lanka's central highlands, Uva is home to some of the most aromatic teas in the world. Between 900 and 1,500 metres, the leaf matures slowly in cool mountain air, building a crisp, clean briskness and a pronounced aroma with hints of wood and honey.

Our Ceylon Supreme (PEKOE grade) brings this character to the cup: flowery and flavorsome.

Elevation 900–1,500 m
Monsoon Dry kachan winds
Best season July – September

From December to February the northeast monsoon brings rain to these eastern hills. Then, from July to September, the dry, cool kachan winds of the southwest monsoon sweep over the mountains. This gentle stress concentrates flavour in the leaf, giving Uva's seasonal teas their famous mellow, almost wintergreen-like fragrance.

“Great Taste”

So tasty! I have never been mad on tea like everyone else but now I look forward to a cup as this tea is so tasty! The whole family agrees too!

“Ceylon Supreme”

Ceylon tea belongs to my favorite teas, because of the deversity of the flavor and taste. The Ceylon Supreme is very light flavored and not too malty and therefore perfect for a good tea in the afternoon.

“Pleasant everyday tea”

I hadn't tried this Ceylon black tea before, and have been pleasantly surprised at the depth of flavour. I actually enjoy this more when it isn't hot. Looking forward to trying other flavours now.
