Where It's Grown
On the sun-drenched eastern slopes of Sri Lanka's central highlands, Uva is home to some of the most aromatic teas in the world. Between 900 and 1,500 metres, the leaf matures slowly in cool mountain air, building a crisp, clean briskness and a pronounced aroma with hints of wood and honey.
Our Earl Grey Green (CM1 grade) brings this character to the cup: invigorating with citrus notes.
From December to February the northeast monsoon brings rain to these eastern hills. Then, from July to September, the dry, cool kachan winds of the southwest monsoon sweep over the mountains. This gentle stress concentrates flavour in the leaf, giving Uva's seasonal teas their famous mellow, almost wintergreen-like fragrance.

“Citrus green twist”
Bergamot on green tea is lovely, lighter than classic Earl Grey but still invigorating. Clean finish.

Prefer this to black Earl Grey most days. Citrus notes come through nicely. Good afternoon pick-me-up.
